PEMERIKSAAN MIKROBIOLOGI PADA CANDIDA ALBICANS

Abstract


Abstrak. Candida albicans menyebabkan sejumlah infeksi seperti kandidiasis mukosa, kandidiasis diseminata dan infeksi oportunistik. Candida albicans adalah monomorphic yeast dan yeast like organisme, tumbuh dengan baik pada suhu 25-300C dan juga 35-370C. Infeksi yang disebabkan kandida dapat berupa akut, subakut atau kronis pada seluruh tubuh manusia. Candida albicans dapat diisolasi tumbuh pada media agar dalam waktu tiga hari dengan koloni berbentuk seperti pasta krim lembut. Candida albicans mempunyai kemampuan untuk membentuk tabung benih/germ tubes dalam serum, atau spora besar berdinding tebal yang dinamakan klamidospora. Bahan klinis yang dipakai untuk pemeriksaan dapat berupa kerokan kulit atau kuku, sputum, sekret bronkus, urin, tinja, usap mulut, sekret telingga, sekret vagina, darah, cairan tubuh lain atau jaringan. Bahan klinis yang akan diperiksa harus dengan cara steril dan ditempatkan dalam wadah steril. Diagnosis laboratorium mikrobiologi dapat dilakukan melalui pemeriksaan langsung, kultur, serologi dan biologi molekuler. (JKS 2016; 1: 53-63)

Abstract. Fungal infection known as mycosis cause of candidiasis, particularly those caused by Candida albicans. These organism caused a number of infections vary from mucosal candidiasis to disseminated candidiasis, and was a fungal infection that caused the highest incidence of oportunistic infections. Candida albicans is monomorphic yeast and yeast like organism, which grow wll at temperatures 25-300C and also can grow at 35-370C. Candida albicans can be isolated on agar media within there days, with a colony shaped like smooth creamy paste, and be recognized with the abilty to form germ tube in serum or the formation of large thick-walled spores called chlamydospore. Clinical sample that would be used to form the examination ware skin or nail scrappings, sputum, bronchial secretions, urine, faces, mucosal swap of ears, mounth or vagina, and also blood, other body fluids or tissue. Clinical material must be collected and arraged with sterile manner and placed in a sterile containers. Labotory diagnosis can be made through direst examination, culture, serological anda molecular biology. The diagnosis of deep candidal lesions should be done with histological axamination.
