Penataan Kawasan Tanaman Pangan dan Perkebunan Berbasis Kesesuaian Lahan di Kecamatan Labuhanhaji Timur Kabupaten Aceh Selatan

Abstract


Abstract. Abstract: This study aimed to examine the characteristics of land, evaluate land suitability and agricultural area planning of food crops and plantations in Labuanhaji Timur Sub district of Aceh Selatan Regency. This study was conducted from July to September of 2013. Method used in this study was descriptive survey. Based on field observations and the results of laboratory analysis, it could be concluded that: The characteristics of land were classified into very suitable, quite suitable, and not suitable for agricultural area planning of food crops and plantations. Soil physical properties were in quite good and less good criterion. Chemical properties of the soil were in very low, low, medium and high criterion. The land suitability was classified into very suitable (S1), reasonably suitable (S2), marginally suitable (S3) and not suitable (N). Recommended plants that were very suitable (S1), among others: food crops: Irrigated rice on land mapping unit 6, 7, and 8; plantation crops such as: nutmeg and cocoa on land mapping unit 6, 7, and 8.

 

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan; mengkaji karakteristik lahan, evaluasi kesesuaian lahan dan penataan kawasan tanaman pangan dan perkebunan di Kecamatan Labuhanhaji Timur Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai dengan September 2013. Metode digunakan adalah metode survai deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil interpretasi karakteristik lahan dan hasil analisis tanah di Laboratorium maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut: karakteristik lahan meliputi kelas sangat sesuai, kurang sesuai dan tidak sesuai untuk pertanian tanaman pangan dan perkebunan. Sifat fisika tanah masuk kedalam kriteria; cukup baik dan kurang baik. Sifat kimia tanah masuk dalam kriteria; sangat rendah, rendah, sedang dan tinggi. kesesuaian lahan masuk kedalam kelas; sangat sesuai (S1), cukup sesuai (S2), sesuai marginal (S3) dan tidak sesuai (N). Rekomendasi tanaman yang sangat sesuai (S1) antara lain: tanaman pertanian pangan: padi sawah irigasi pada satuan peta lahan 6, 7, dan 8. Tanaman perkebunan antara lain: pala dan kakao pada satuan peta lahan  6, 7, dan 8
